In this scenario, a video game console (Sony PlayStation, Nintendo, XBox, etc.) is added to an Avcast network. The game console is treated like any other video source. The CableCaster replaces the splitter where Cable TV or antenna signals enter the home. A notch filter eliminates unwanted signals from the antenna or Cable TV service (you specify filter range). The game console in Room 1 is added to the Avcast network with a MediaCaster, which takes the audio/video output of the game console and modulates it to a TV channel. The MediaCaster is set to a "Personal TV Channel", say channel 67. Any TV tuned to channel 67 can view the game console. Room 4 has an IRCaster/IRDetector installed. This enables users to control the game console with infrared game control that can be purchased from a number of manufacturers. Additional MediaCasters, IRCasters and PC Casters can be added to the network (~8 video sources maximum).
